Looking for the hot spring. We hiked around in the cattail maze for a while, checking to see if there were any other springs. I borrowed Jared's big down coat for the hike - he got me my own beautiful light blue one (and not quite so bulky) for Christmas!
The Saratoga springs, which are near Lehi, Utah, are only a 1/4 mile hike from the parking lot. The spring didn't look like much from the path and at first we weren't sure we had found the right place. Once we got in, we were very pleasantly surprised. The water was the perfect temperature and the spring had a nice sandy bottom. We soaked in the hot water, watched the sunset and had a great time together.
Jared's buddy Brian from Arizona stopped by for a visit during his hot spring tour of the west. He stayed with us for three days and each day we visited a different hot spring - what a fun idea! We had a great time and found some new hot springs that we had never been to before.
