Sitting at the top of Kipu Falls - you can jump off the falls into the pond below, or swing out on a rope and jump in. We decided to hang out and watch from above. This was our last day in Kauai. We had dinner that night at the Marriot and then strolled on the beach and beautiful gardens of the hotel.

We spent a week honeymooning in Kauai - what an incredible place! We explored a new part of the island each day, checking out the rugged Napali Coast on a sailing catamaran and snorkeling at several beaches, including Hanalai and Poipu. We loved the north shore bridges and quaint cafes around Hanalai (we bought a Puff the Magic Dragon story/songbook for the kids - the loved hearing about how we visited Puff's home), and our Kauai guidebook gave us access to quite a few isolated (and very romantic) beaches and the delicious saimin noodle stand, which is a local favorite. We enjoyed the boat tour to the Fern Grotto and the Smith's luau, complete with a traditional Hawaiian pig roast. We also went to Waimea Canyon, which is 10 miles long and 3600 feet deep (Mark Twain once called it the "Grand Canyon of the Pacific"). The rest of the time we just RELAXED and had an amazing time together.
